25 INT. WILL DUFFY'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON 

              Lisa looks up to the clock-1:20.  Will paces.

                                  WILL
                        Emily was sure there'd be an event
                        today, only it kind of fizzled.
 
                                  LISA
                        I hadn't started at the hospital
                        yet but there was an earthquake
                        around Granite Height last year.
                        Some kids were killed.

                                  WILL
                        Your last year?

                                  LISA
                        Right.

                                  WILL
                        When?

                                  LISA
                        I think about, your now.

              Terrance enters.

                                  TERRANCE
                        The Governor called.

                                  WILL
                               (nodding toward Lisa)
                        You didn't?...

                                  TERRANCE
                        Oh for heaven's sakes!

                                  WILL
                        They want to know about the
                        secondaries.

                                  TERRANCE
                        He thinks I can see into the
                        future.  More your forte, eh Miss
                        Hollinger?

              Terrance moves closer to Lisa.  He throws her ID card on the
              table in front of her.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (continuing)
                        Oh, and by the way, you don't work
                        at the state hospital.

                                  WILL
                        You checked?
 
                                  LISA
                        I told you Dr. Duffy.  I didn't
                        start there until this coming June.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Yes, you said that too...

                                  TERRANCE
                               (continuing)
                        It's reassuring to know, however,
                        that you've not been admitted to
                        any mental facility in the
                        country, that I could track down.

              Will doesn't like the way his Father is talking to Lisa.

                                  WILL
                        Dad!

              Terrance steps face to face with Lisa.

                                  TERRANCE
                        And you've never been a guest of
                        this state's penal system.

              Lisa isn't going to back down.  Will steps closer to them.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (continuing)
                        Which makes you neither a crook
                        nor a nut, of record...
                               (softening)
                        You know Miss Hollinger, I'm
                        having a hard time with this.

              Will relaxes.  He's close to Lisa.  He wants to be
              comforting, to touch her.

                                  LISA
                        Me too.

                                  TERRANCE
                        I think I should be the one locked
                        up.
 

           26 INT. UNIVERSITY VAN - AFTERNOON 

              Lisa is stressed.  She fidgets, sitting in the front seat of
              the Van.
 

           27 EXT. JANICE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              The Van is parked in the driveway.  Washington State
              University is painted on the side.

              Terrance and Will stand at the front door.

              Janice answers, Jeremy on her hip.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Mrs. Lasker, I'm Doctor
                        Terrance Duffy...

              Jeremy struggles to be let down.

                                  JANICE
                        You were on TV this morning.

              Jeremy slips between the Men.

                                  JANICE
                               (continuing)
                        Jeremy, come here.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Yes, I was.  Mrs. Lasker, we'd
                        like your permission to set up
                        some seismic equipment in your
                        house.

              Jeremy is on the lawn.  He looks at the Van.  He creeps
              closer.

                                  JANICE
                        Why?  I mean, why here?

                           TERRANCE                      JEREMY
                   Well, we think there may         (calling)
                   be...                         Mamma, the lady!

              Janice hears her Son.  She pushes past the Men.

                                  JANICE
                        Excuse me for a second.  Jeremy!

              Jeremy is standing beside Lisa, next to the Van.  Janice
              strides towards them.

                                  JANICE
                               (continuing)
                        It's you!

              Terrance and Will arrive.

                                  LISA
                        Hello Janice.

              Janice steps closer.  Lisa steps back, she's afraid Janice
              might try to touch her.  Lisa's avoidance annoys Janice even
              more.

                                  JANICE
                        How do you know my name?

              Janice grabs the Boy's hand and pulls him back.

              Lisa is mute, she realizes she's blown it.

              Janice is angry now.

                                  JANICE
                               (continuing)
                        What the hell do you want?

                                  TERRANCE
                        Mrs. Lasker...

                                  JANICE
                        Did my ex-husband put you up to
                        this?

              Janice starts toward the door, Son in tow.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (stepping after her)
                        Mrs. Lasker, please...

                                  JANICE
                               (stops and turns)
                        Listen, I don't appreciate the
                        fact that she's been hanging
                        around my house, spying!  Doctor,
                        I'd like to help but...I just
                        don't like the company you keep.

              Janice and Jeremy go into the house.  The door slams.

                                  TERRANCE
                        How on earth do you know her name?

                                  LISA
                        She's one of my patients.

               Terrance scoffs.

                                  WILL
                        You mean at the hospital?

                                  LISA
                        Yes.  She's, on life support.

                                  TERRANCE
                        We've just seen her!

                                  LISA
                        In the future, Dr. Duffy.  In my
                        future!

              Lisa walks to the Van.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing; turning
                                to the Men)
                        And today her husband Paul, is
                        going to try to kill her!  And he
                        almost does. And he's going to
                        kill their son Jeremy!

              Lisa crumples to the ground.

              Will races to her and drops to his knees.  He reaches out to
              touch Lisa.  He withdraws.  Will steels himself and reaches
              and grabs her.

              A diminished Blue Aura raises up around Lisa.

              Terrance looks on, incredulous.

              The Aura consumes Will's hands but doesn't encompass the rest
              of him.  Where as before he was repelled by the Force now
              Will is strong enough to withstand it.

                                  TERRANCE
                        What the hell?

              Will gently lifts the semi conscious Lisa to a sitting
              position.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (continuing)
                        Will, we have to get her some help!

                                  WILL
                        I know.  But she's here for a
                        reason, Dad... even if she doesn't
                        know it.  We've got to get her to
                        Emily.

                                   ACT FOUR
 

           28 INT. EMILY BARKER'S PARLOUR - AFTERNOON 

              The grandfather clock strikes -4:15.

              Lisa sits in a big chair in the middle of the room.  She's
              weak, out of it.  Will kneels beside her.  Terrance stands
              with Neville.

              Emily, dark glasses on, leans on a white cane.  She stands in
              front of Lisa.

                                  EMILY
                        Will, my boy.  Something big's
                        going on, yes.

                                  WILL
                        You called it.

                                  EMILY
                        Soon Will.  Within the hour.

              Terrance scoffs.

                                  TERRANCE
                        We'll see.

                                  EMILY
                               (turning)
                        Ah, Terrance.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Emily.

                                  EMILY
                               (turning to Lisa)
                        And this would be...?

                                  WILL
                        This is Lisa.

              Terrance laughs.

                                  TERRANCE
                        This is ridiculous!  Will, I don't
                        know why I let you talk me into
                        coming to this place.  You've put
                        this woman in jeopardy, she
                        requires medical attention now.

                                  WILL
                        Dad!

                                  TERRANCE
                        And Emily, while were at it, why
                        don't you seek some professional
                        help as well.

                                  EMILY
                        Am I that much of a threat to you?

                                  TERRANCE
                        The only threat, to everyone, is
                        misinformation.  The lies you so
                        called Sensitives are spreading.
                        My science is my responsibility.
                        If I claimed there was going to be
                        an earthquake without proof, I'd
                        be laughed right out of the
                        Geophysical Survey.  Your rantings
                        get your picture in the Daily
                        Inquirer.

                                  WILL
                        Dad, we're just looking for a
                        different kind of proof.  The kind
                        that you don't derive from
                        mechanical readings and
                        impersonal observation.  There's
                        more to it. There has to be.  Look
                        at Emily.  She's trying to...

                                  EMILY
                        I'm not trying to do anything,
                        dear boy.  I didn't ask to have
                        these intuitions, or this pain.
                        I only know what I feel.

              Emily sits, with some trouble, on the ottoman in front of
              Lisa.  Will moves to help but Emily waves him off with her
              cane.

              Emily reaches out to grab Lisa's hand.  As their hands near
              the Blue Aura arcs weakly.

              Emily jerks away in shock.

                                  EMILY
                               (continuing)
                        Did you see that Terrance?  I
                        can't, but I know it's happening
                        to me.  Can your science explain
                        it?  Or do you just ignore it
                        because you don't know what it is?

              Emily reaches forward and grabs Lisa's hand.

              The Blue Aura reappears as their hands touch and from the
              hands up, traces and encompasses both their bodies.  The Aura
              is diminishing in intensity.

              Lisa is coming around.

                                  EMILY
                               (continuing)
                        She's not from around here, is she?

                                  LISA
                               (weakly, joking)
                        Granite Heights.

              Will smiles.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing; louder)
                        Granite Heights.

                                  EMILY
                        You have to get back there, dear.
                        Soon I think, yes?

              Lisa just stares.  She's given up.

              Will figures it out.

                                  WILL
                        Wait!  Isn't Percival's Island
                        close to Granite Heights?

                                  TERRANCE
                        Yes it is.  It's one of the San
                        Juan Islands.  Not far away.  Why?

                                  LISA
                               (remembering)
                        They were kids...their day-care,
                        I think, parents arriving to pick
                        them up after work.

                                  TERRANCE
                        What?

                                  LISA
                        Percival's Island.

                                  WILL
                        Don't you see?

                                  TERRANCE
                        Miss Hollinger, is this true?  Do
                        you know this for a fact!

                                  LISA
                        Yes, I remember.  The building
                        wasn't strong enough, it collapsed
                        in the quake.  It was the same day
                        as, Janice's accident.  It's...

                                  TERRANCE
                        Today!

              The grandfather clock strikes-4:30.

                                  WILL
                        That's where the quake will
                        happen!  It did happen, Lisa's the
                        proof!

                                  TERRANCE
                        Emily Barker, how can you be sure
                        it's Percival's Island?  You've
                        been wrong so many times.

                                  EMILY
                        Dear Terrance, I believe it.

                                  LISA
                        Will, we've got to get back to
                        Janice's!  Please!

              Will jumps and scoops up Lisa in his arms.  The Blue Aura
              surrounds them both.
 

           29 EXT. EMILY BARKER'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              Will carries Lisa to the Van.  Terrance follows.

                                  LISA
                        The quakes, they must be all
                        connected.  It's Janice.  She
                        opened a hole in time for me.

                                  WILL
                        I'm not sure I get it.

                                  LISA
                        To save her son!  Her husband is
                        coming to pick him up!  At quarter
                        to five.  But instead he runs them
                        down in a rage.  I know what
                        happened!  Somehow Janice wants me
                        to save him.

                                  WILL
                        How are the quakes connected?

                                  LISA
                        The Percival's Island quake
                        affected Granite Heights too.
                        Somehow the Janice's hospital room
                        and her closet are, in tune.

                                  WILL
                        Then you have to be there when the
                        quake hits, so you can get back.

                                  LISA
                        Yes!

                                  WILL
                        But how will you open the hole in
                        time Lisa?

                                  LISA
                        I don't know, I guess you just
                        believe it.
 

           30 EXT. CITY STREETS  - AFTERNOON 

              The University Van races across town.
 

           31 INT. UNIVERSITY VAN - AFTERNOON 

              Lisa lies on the back seat in Will's lap.  She's weak but
              conscious.

              Terrance is driving, cell phone in hand.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Yes Jerry, I know.  It's crazy.
                        The Governor must know that I
                        stake my professional reputation
                        on it.  You must warn the
                        residents of Percival's Island
                        immediately!  They must be a safe
                        distance from any buildings,
                        including their homes, for the
                        next two hours...Damn it Jerry,
                        I'll call the media myself, if
                        that's what it takes!  I am the
                        Governor's adviser.  You want that
                        kind of mayhem on your
                        hands?..great....Did you get the
                        name of that day-care school?
                        Make sure...Thankyou, just
                        thankyou.

              Will smiles at his Dad.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (continuing)
                        It's done.

              Will looks down at Lisa.

                                  LISA
                        I don't want to leave, you.

                                  WILL
                        Lisa, you're fading away on me.

                                  LISA
                        Promise me...

                                  WILL
                        I do...what?

                                  LISA
                        You'll stay away from her.

                                  WILL
                        Who?
 
                                  LISA
                        The Other Lisa.

                                  WILL
                               (smiles)
                        You will meet a person from your
                        past someday.

                                  LISA
                        I'll know him, I'll have some
                        memory of him, won't I?

                                  WILL
                        I hope so.  If he blurts out, that
                        he loves you, don't be too
                        surprised...

                                  LISA
                        I don't think I will be.

              Will and Lisa kiss.  She whispers in his ear.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing)
                        The Chargers.

                                  WILL
                        What?

                                  LISA
                        The San Diego Chargers, Will.
                        They will win the Super Bowl next
                        January.

              Will looks at her, amazed.

                                   ACT FIVE
 

           32 EXT. JANICE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              The University Van pulls to the curb.  In the driveway a
              Lexus is parked.
 

           33 INT. UNIVERSITY VAN - AFTERNOON 

              POV-At the front door a MAN is gesturing aggressively to
              Janice.  Jeremy stands between them.

                                  LISA
                        Paul Laskin.

                                  WILL
                        I'll handle him.

              Will shows Lisa the time on his watch.  5:40.  Lisa sees it.
              Terrance looks at Will, then Lisa.

                                  TERRANCE
                        We've got to get you into the
                        house, Miss Hollinger.

                Will exits.
 

           34 EXT. JANICE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              PAUL LASKIN, a large, surly Man is walking to the his car,
              Jeremy in hand.

              Will approaches.  Janice runs out to confront him.

                                  JANICE
                        I told you to stay away from here!

              Paul doesn't know what to make of this.

                                  WILL
                        Mrs. Laskin, I need to speak with
                        you...

                                  PAUL
                        Who the hell are you?

                                  WILL
                        Please listen to me for a second!

              Paul lets go of Jeremy and steps toward Will.

                                  PAUL
                        She said leave!
 

           35 INT. UNIVERSITY VAN - AFTERNOON 

              Terrance slides into the back seat beside Lisa.  He props her
              up.

              The water bottle on the seat begins to vibrate.  A Low Rumble
              becomes audible.

              Terrance looks a Lisa.

                                  TERRANCE
                               (smiles)
                        It's time to go, Lisa.

              Lisa smiles at him.

                                  LISA
                        It is.

              Terrance opens the side doors, faced away from the house.

              Terrance moves slowly at first and grabs Lisa's hand.  The
              Blue Aura arcs between them.

              Terrance pulls her into his arms.  The Aura surrounds them
              both.
 

           36 EXT. JANICE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              Janice grabs Jeremy's hand and begins to walk toward the
              house.

                                  PAUL
                        Janice.

              Paul lurches for the Boy.  Janice tries to stop him.

                                  JANICE
                        No Paul!

              Paul shoves her aside.

              The Rumble becomes louder.

              Will steps between Paul and the Boy.

                                  WILL
                        Mr. Laskin, listen!

              Paul shoves Will aside.

                                  PAUL
                        Janice, give him to me!

              Janice picks up Jeremy and rushes for the house.  Paul goes
              after her.

              Will scrambles after him.  He puts a hand on Paul's shoulder
              to stop him.

                                  WILL
                        Wait!

              Paul turns and punches Will, sending him to the ground.  Will
              is in a stupor.

              Paul turns and grabs for Jeremy.

                                  PAUL
                        Give him to me!

              Paul snatches the Boy from Janice and marches toward his car.
              Janice chases after him.

                                  JANICE
                        Paul, don't!

              Paul pushes Janice to the ground.
 

           37 EXT. UNIVERSITY VAN - AFTERNOON 
              Lisa is being carried by Terrance.  From the corner of the
              Van they watch.

                                  LISA
                        You have to stop them!

                                  TERRANCE
                        We have to go.  Will can take of
                        himself.

              Terrance moves across the front lawn with Lisa.
 

           38 EXT. JANICE'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 

              Paul puts Jeremy in the front seat of the car and slams the
              door.  He beeps the door locked then moves around the front
              of the car.  Janice chases him.

                                  JANICE
                        Please don't take him!
 
                                  PAUL
                        He's my boy, Janice.  I have
                        rights too.

              Will shakes it off.  He spies Terrance carrying Lisa toward
              the house.

              Will gets up and moves toward the back of the car.

              Paul slides into the drivers seat and slams the door.

                                  JANICE
                               (trying to reason)
                        Just cool down, Paul.

              The car engine turns over.  Janice starts beating on the
              window.

              Janice looks up to see Terrance and Lisa cross toward the
              front door.  She's freaking now.

                                  JANICE
                               (continuing)
                        Don't take him, please, please!

              Terrance and Lisa are at the front door.  They watch Will
              stand at the rear of the car, trying to block Paul's escape.

              Paul guns the engine in neutral, trying to intimidate Will
              into stepping aside.  He puts it in reverse and alternately
              guns and brakes the car, jerking it back.  Will will not move.

              The Rumbling is loud now.  Things are beginning to sway.

              A light above the garage door shakes loose and falls to the
              pavement.

              Janice wobbles as she races around the front of the car,
              trying to get to her Son.

              Paul guns the car forward, forcing Janice to hop to safety.

                                  JANICE
                               (continuing)
                        Jeremy!

              Terrance takes Lisa into the house.
 

           39 INT. FOYER - AFTERNOON 

              The Quake is now Rumbling flat out.

              Terrance stops dead as he hears the screeching of tires.  He
              turns to see the Lexus pull out onto the street.

              From Terrance's arms, Lisa sees the car too.

                                  LISA
                        Oh Will!

              Lisa struggles to get free of Terrance grasp but gives up,
              she's just too weak.

              Terrance makes his way up the stairs.  The house is swaying
              from the force of the quake.  Falling furniture and breaking
              glass are heard above the Rumbling.
 

           40 INT. JANICE'S BEDROOM - AFTERNOON 

              Terrance staggers across the room, Lisa in his arms.

              The Quake is beginning to diminish in intensity.

              Terrance stumbles but recovers.  He opens the closet door
              with his foot.

                                  LISA
                        Quick, or we'll miss it!
 

           41 INT. CLOSET - AFTERNOON 

              The clothes sway on their hangers.  Stuff falls from the
              shelves above.

              Ahead of them The Portal looms.  The Hospital Bathroom is
              visible beyond.

              Muffled cries of Personnel and Patients from the Hospital
              come filtering through.  A distant Fire Alarm rings
              throughout the Hospital.

                                  LISA
                        There it is.  It's fading!

              As the Rumbling lessens, the Mirror is revealing more of the
              reflection of Terrance and Lisa.

              Terrance lurches toward the Mirror.
 
                                  LISA
                               (continuing)
                        Push me through Terrance!  Hurry!

              Terrance lowers Lisa to her feet in front of the Portal.

              Where there is reflection is unyielding glass.  Terrance
              pushes Lisa up against and through the Portal/Mirror.

              The Hospital Patient cries become clear as Lisa's body
              punctures the barrier.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing)
                        Push, harder!

              Terrance struggles.  Parts of Lisa are slipping into the
              Portal.  Terrances hands go through to the otherside as he
              pushes.

              The Rumbling is subsiding.

                                  TERRANCE
                        It's not working, the quake is
                        finished!

                                  LISA
                        No, keep trying!

              The Mirror is solidifying.  Parts of Lisa are trapped inside
              the Mirror.  She's in pain.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing)
                        Help me!

              The Quake starts up again.  The Rumbling instensifies.

              The Closet walls split, a huge crack is revealed.

              The Portal reopens.

                                  LISA
                               (continuing)
                        Now!

              Terrance shoves with all his might.  Lisa slips through the
              Portal with a scream.
 

           42 INT. HOSPITAL BATHROOM INTERCUT WITH CLOSET - AFTERNOON 

              Lisa falls to the ground exhausted.  The Room is swaying.
              She staggers to her knees.

              A burst pipe from under the sink sprays water into the Room.
              A bottle of mouthwash lies on its side, emptying.

              The Quake begins to subside again.

              The distant cries from frightened Staff and Patients die
              away.  The Fire Alarm stops.

              Through the Portal, Terrance watches.  His voice is muffled,
              distant.  His image is being replaced with the Mirror
              reflection.

                                  TERRANCE
                        Lisa, are you alright?  Lisa?

              Lisa struggles closer to the Portal.  She's face to face with
              Terrance across the fading Portal.  She touches the spot
              where Terrance's face is.

              The Portal closes.  Lisa is touching the Mirror, which has
              become her own reflection.

                                  LISA
                        Take care of him Terrance.

              Lisa exhales onto the Mirror.  It mists up.  She wipes away
              the condensation.

              Lisa stands, with every second she's gaining strength.

              Lisa puts her hand on the doorknob and pauses.  She pulls it
              open.
 

           43 INT. JANICE'S HOSPITAL ROOM - AFTERNOON 

              Lisa steps into the Room.

              Janice's bed is empty.

              Lisa checks the clock on the wall- 5:10

              Lisa walks to the head of the bed.  On the Pillow is a
              NEWSPAPER.

              The Headline reads:  GOVERNOR'S WARNING SAVES DAY-CARE TOTS
 
                                  CONTROL VOICE
                        How do we summon the mysterious
                        powers hidden deep within our
                        being?

              Lisa walks toward the door.
 

           44 INT. HOSPITAL CORRIDOR - AFTERNOON 

                                  CONTROL VOICE
                        Strengths to nuture or protect,
                        forces to ensure what we hold
                        dearest, the light called life,
                        will forever burn bright.  We
                        believe.

              Lisa opens the door and steps out into the hallway.

              Patients and Staff mill around, fearful and disoriented.

              Lisa peers.  Through the Crowd We See- Janice and Jeremy,
              Emily in a wheelchair and Terrance standing at the end of the
              corridor.  They are all smiling at her.

              Lisa doesn't see Will.  She turns around.

              Will is standing right behind her.  They smile at each other.

              Lisa offers her hand.  Will brings his hand up to hers.

              Just before they touch, the faint Blue Light arcs between
              their fingers.  It fades away.

              Will and Lisa hold hands and then embrace.
